The Utah Valley Children’s Choir is a four choir choral academy that ranges from ages 4 to 19. The Concert Choir is an auditioned group that consists of 150 young people from ages 10-19. This unique blend of changed and unchanged children's voices allows their audiences to experience the full spectrum of choral sounds. The choir only performs sacred music and sees its mission to strengthen faith, build friendships, and “sing for the Lord.”

Lyrics
Fighting For Us
Michael Farren, Krissy Nordhoff (lyrics adapted)
Arrangement: Cliff Duren
We are not left alone,
He is not weak or slow.
He’s everything brave and bold;
He’s fighting for us.
He is not distant or cold;
His heart’s not angry or closed.
And even in ways we don’t know,
He’s fighting for us.
(Chorus)
He won’t hold back when it comes to His children.
He fiercely defend us ‘til we stand delivered,
He’s fighting for us, always fighting for us!
He never closes His eyes;
He’s never been surprised.
Whatever war may rise,
He’s fighting for us.
He moves with holy Grace
In all His miraculous ways
We simply stand here amazed,
‘cause He’s fighting for us, fighting for us!
Chorus
He don’t back down facing armies of thousands.
He speaks one word and they scatter around us.
He’s fighting for us, always fighting for us!
How great the love, the glorious love of the one true Father!
How great the love, the conquering love of the one true God!
(repeat)
Chorus
And Can It Be?
Dan Forrest
And can it be? And can it be?
Amazing love, how can it be?
And can it be that I should gain
An int’rest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me who caused His pain?
For me who Him to death pursued?
Amazing Love!
How can it be that thou my God,
Shouldst die for me?
He left His Father’s throne above,
So free, so infinite His grace;
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam’s helpless race;
‘Tis mercy all, immense and free;
For O my God, it found out me.
And can it be? And can it be?
Amazing love, how can it be?
No condemnation now I dread,
Jesus and all in Him in mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach th’eternal throne,
And claim the crown through Christ my own.
Amaze, amazing love, how can it be
That thou, my God shouldst die for me?
Amazing love, how can it be?
Amazing love!
Mercy
Susan Bentall Boersma
Craig Courtney
I dare not lift my guilty eyes.
I hide my lips in trembling shame.
And in the darkness of my soul,
I shrink from Your rekindling flame.
Kyrie eleison, kyrie eleison, have mercy.
In mercy cover me with grace
And blot out my iniquity.
Renew my heart and wash me clean;
Grant with Your pardon, purity.
Kyrie eleison, kyrie eleison, have mercy.
In equal measure of Your love,
Who promise mercy, tender compassion
to the one who seeks Your face.
A broken heart, a fainting soul,
A contrite spirit, together cry
for Your forgiveness and Your grace.
Against You only have I sinned.
My deeds are evil in Your sight.
Of Your forgiveness let me sing,
And in my singing take delight.
Kyrie eleison, kyrie eleison, have mercy.
Gentle Voice
Susan Dengler
Lee Dengler
Far above the noise of life,
There’s a voice that is gently calling.
“Leave behind your cares and strife.
Come to Me. I will give you rest.
Bring your fear and bring your pain.
Bring your anger, and bring your worry.”
Do you hear the voice of Jesus,
Gently calling, “Come unto Me?”
Gentle voice, so meek and mild;
Gentle words of understanding.
“You are my beloved child.
Come to Me. I will give you rest.
Bring your grief and bring your cares.
Bring your heartaches and bring your sorrow.”
Do you hear the voice of Jesus,
Gently calling, “Come unto Me?”
Gentle voice, so full of love.
Gentle words so rich in mercy.
“You are my beloved child,
Come to Me. I will give you rest.”
Behold Our God
Jonathan Baird, Meghan Baird, Ryan Baird and Stephen Altrogge
Arrangement: Mary McDonald
Who has held the oceans in His hands?
Who has numbered ev’ry grain of sand?
Kings and nations tremble at His voice.
All creation rises to rejoice!
(Chorus)
Behold our God,
Seated on His throne;
Come, let us adore Him!
Behold our King,
Nothing can compare;
Come, let us adore Him!
Who has given counsel to the Lord?
Who can question any of His words?
Who can teach the One who knows all things?
Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds?
Let thy glory fill the earth
Thou will reign forever;
Let thy glory reign!
O come, let us adore Him;
Who has felt the nails upon His hands,
Bearing all the guilt of sinful man?
God eternal, humbled to the grave,
Jesus, Savior, risen now to reign,
To reign!
Raise a Hallelujah
Jonathan David Helser
Arranged by Daniel Semsen
I raise a hallelujah
in the presence of my enemies.
I raise a hallelujah
louder than the unbelief.
I raise a hallelujah
my weapon is a melody.
I raise a hallelujah
Heaven comes to fight for me.
I’m gonna sing in the middle of the storm.
Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar.
Up from the ashes, hope will arise
Death is defeated; the King is alive.
I raise a hallelujah
with everything inside of me.
I raise a hallelujah
I will watch the darkness flee.
I raise a hallelujah
In the middle of the mystery.
I raise a hallelujah
Fear, you lost your hold on me.
Sing a little louder.
In the presence of my enemies.
Louder than the unbelief.
Death is defeated; the King is alive!
I raise a hallelujah!

A storm is raging, Lord.
The boat I sail is small and, oh, so frail.
The wind is blowing Lord.
I cannot hold the course against the gale.
The lightning strikes on ev’ry side,
Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
Your hand alone can hold the tide,
Lord, rescue me.
I am sinking, Lord.
The boat is taking water,
Going down.
Part the waters, Lord.
I long to plant my feet on solid ground.
Oh Lord of earth and sky and sea,
Your hand is reaching out to me,
I know that You have heard my plea,
My hope is sure.
My Kindness Shall Not Depart From Thee
Rob Gardner
For a little while Have I forsaken thee;
But with great mercies will I gather thee.
In a little wrath I had my face from thee
For a moment.
But with everlasting kindness I will gather thee,
And with mercy will I take thee ‘neath my wings,
For the mountains shall depart
And the hills shall be removed
And the valleys shall be lost beneath the sea,
But know my child,
My kindness shall not depart from thee!
Though thin afflictions seem
At times too great to bear,
I know thine ev’ry thought and ev’ry care.
And though the very jaws
Of hell gape after thee
I am with thee.
(Chorus)
And with everlasting mercy will I succor thee,
And with healing will I take thee ‘neath my wings.
Though the mountains shall depart
And the hills shall be removed
And the valleys shall be lost beneath the sea,
Know, my child,
My kindness shall not depart from thee!
How long can rolling waters
Remain impure?
What pow’r shall stay the hand of God?
The Son of Man hath descended below all things.
Art thou greater than He?
So hold on thy way,
For I shall be with thee.
And mine angels shall encircle thee.
Doubt not what thou knowest,
Fear not man,
For he cannot hurt thee.
You Say
Lauren Daigle, Jason Ingram, Paul Mabury
Arrangement: Heather Sorenson
I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough.
Ev’ry single lie that tells me I will never measure up.
Am I more than just the sum of ev’ry high and ev’ry low?
Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know.
(Chorus)
You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing,
You say I am strong when I think I am weak.
You say I am held when I am falling short.
And when I don’t belong, oh, You say I am Yours.
And I believe
Oh, I believe
What You say of me.
Oh, I believe
Yes, I believe.
The only thing that matters now is ev’rything You think of me.
In You, I find my worth. In You, I find my identity.
(Chorus)
Taking all I have, and now I’m laying it at Your feet.
You’ll have ev’ry failure, God.
You’ll have ev’ry victory. (repeat)
(Chorus)
How Great Jehovah
Douglas W. Scott, William W. Phelps
Arrangement: Traci Law
Saints, behold how great Jehovah
Hath His blessings on you shed.
Zion ev’rywhere is growing
As the gospel light is spread!
Out of all past dispensations,
God is bringing into one
Ev’ry truth by prophets spoken,
For the last days have begun,
Rise and lift up Zion’s standard;
Tell our Father’s children now:
Heaven’s blessed King approaches;
All men must before Him bow.
We’ll sing and we’ll shout,
We will sing and we’ll shout
Hosanna to God and the Lamb.
We’ll sing and we’ll shout with the armies
Of Heaven
Hosanna to God and the Lamb!
The Spirit of God like a fire is burning
The Latter-day glory will come forth
Visions and blessings of old are returning
And Angels are coming to visit the earth.
Praise God and Jehovah, Amen and Amen
Is He Worthy?
Andrew Peterson, Ben Shive
Arrangement: Dan Forrest
Worthy is the Lamb that was slain.
Do you feel the world is broken?
We do.
Do you feel the shadows deepen?
We do.
But do you know that all dark
won't stop the light from getting through?
We do.
Do you wish that you could see it all made new?
We do.
Is all creation groaning?
It is.
Is a new creation coming?
It is.
Is the glory of the Lord to be the light
within our midst?
It is.
Is it good that we remind ourselves of this?
It is.
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave,
He is David’s Root, and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave.
Is He worthy
Is He worthy?
Of all blessing and honor and glory?
Is He worthy of this?
He is the Lamb
Does the Father truly love us?
Does the Spirit move among us?
And does Jesus, our Messiah, hold forever those He loves?
Does our God intend to dwell again with us?
He does!
From ev’ry people and tribe,
Ev’ry nation and tongue,
He has made us a kingdom and priests to God,
To reign with the Son.
Is He Worthy?
He is!
